Shaker defeats Shenendehowa 33-10 in Class AA football matchup

Shaker moved to 2-0 on the season with a 33-10 road victory over Shenendehowa on Friday night at Brent Steuerwald Stadium in Clifton Park. The Blue Bison offense relied on a series of long plays in the first half to establish a 20-3 lead before shifting to a consistent running attack after halftime. Avery Jones recorded three touchdowns, including two receiving scores and one rushing, while Toliek Barnes contributed a 63-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Shenendehowa quarterback Jack Clawson accounted for his team's only touchdown on a one-yard run and led the Mustangs with 141 total yards from scrimmage. Shaker now prepares to host Guilderland next Friday for its home opener. Shenendehowa is scheduled to travel to face Colonie on the same night.
