Richland County high school football teams concluded their nonconference schedules on Friday, September 4, with a 4-4 cumulative record. The Shelby Whippets secured a 27-7 victory over Bellevue despite playing without starting quarterback Michael Shepherd. Utilizing a two-quarterback system, Shelby remained undefeated at 3-0 ahead of Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference play. Elsewhere, the Ontario Warriors moved to 3-0 after a 49-28 comeback win against Tiffin Columbian, fueled by three touchdowns from Cardae Brown.
