Spartan Ventures plans launch despite leadership changes at MSU

Spartan Ventures, the new fundraising initiative at Michigan State University, is set to launch on July 1, according to CEO Jon Palumbo. This comes amid the departure of Athletic Director J Batt to Kentucky and President Kevin Guskiewicz heading to Clemson. Palumbo emphasized the initiative's importance for MSU athletics and announced a new partnership with Michigan State University Federal Credit Union that will enhance revenue streams. The creation of Spartan Ventures was approved by MSU's Board of Trustees last October, though some members have raised concerns about transparency in its operations. As of now, MSU has not appointed interim leaders following the recent departures.
