St. Bonaventure women’s basketball team adjusts roster for upcoming season

St. Bonaventure women’s basketball enters the upcoming season with 10 returning players after finishing the previous year 17-16. Head coach Jim Crowley, beginning the fourth year of his second tenure, added three transfers to compensate for the departure of primary scorers Aaliyah Parker and Laycee Drake. Parker transitioned to the staff as an assistant coach following her final season. Last year, the team reached the second round of the WNIT and hosted a postseason victory over Drexel at the Reilly Center. The program aims to maintain competitive consistency within the Atlantic 10 conference despite challenges related to NIL funding compared to other league members. Crowley continues to emphasize discipline and team chemistry as the primary pillars for the rebuilding process.
