Taunton's Cassinelli, Olaniyan, and MacDonald compete at nationals

Max Cassinelli, Sophia Olaniyan, and Mary MacDonald from Taunton participated in the New Balance Nationals Outdoor track championship from June 18-21 in Philadelphia. MacDonald earned a silver medal in the women's 400-meter wheelchair with a time of 1:17.63. Cassinelli finished 10th in the women's javelin with a personal best of 132 feet 2 inches, while Olaniyan placed 28th in the women's discus, throwing 124 feet 1 inch. The event concluded the season for all three athletes, who were recently successful at the MIAA Meet of Champions.
