Tennessee men's golf team overcomes six-stroke deficit to win Visit Knoxville Collegiate

Tennessee claimed victory at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate on Tuesday at Fox Den Country Club, rallying from a six-stroke final-round deficit to secure the title. Nebraska transfer Rudy Sautron led the charge, shooting a 7-under 63 to help the Volunteers outpace second-place Memphis by four shots. The win marks the second consecutive year Tennessee has claimed its home opening tournament. The team succeeded despite the absence of Tyler Watts, who is currently competing in the Walker Cup. Individually, Evan Rogers of Chattanooga earned medalist honors at 10 under, finishing one stroke ahead of Sautron. The event featured collegiate debuts for several players, including Mason Howell and Noah Maclauchlan.
