Three five-star 2026 quarterbacks make college football debuts in week one

Three highly touted 2026 recruiting class quarterbacks made their college debuts on Saturday, September 5. Faizon Brandon earned the starting role for Tennessee, completing 13 of 17 passes for 226 yards and three touchdowns in a 56-9 win over Furman. He also added 68 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Jared Curtis appeared as a backup for Vanderbilt, splitting reps during a 28-9 victory against Austin Peay while recording 60 passing yards and 22 rushing yards. Keisean Henderson saw limited action for Houston in a 33-20 win over Oregon State, entering for a single snap as a backup to Conner Weigman and attempting one deep pass.
