Troy opened its 2026 football season with a 47-8 victory over Amsterdam at Troy High School on Friday night. Junior quarterback Anthony Brown, making his first varsity start, led an offense that outgained the Rugged Rams 303-101 in total yardage. Troy scored touchdowns on its first five offensive possessions, bolstered by three touchdown runs from senior Vulonn Forde and two scoring runs from Nymiear Jenkins.
