Tulsa hires DJ Gasso as new softball head coach

DJ Gasso will become the head coach of the Tulsa softball team next season, replacing Crissy Strimple. Strimple departed after 21 years with the program, including seven as head coach. Gasso, the son of Oklahoma softball coach Patty Gasso, previously served as an assistant coach at Arkansas. The Golden Hurricane finished the season with a 20-33 record and reached the second round of the AAC Tournament. Gasso's first head coaching role comes after several positions in coaching and management at various programs.
