UND volleyball coach Nguyen pushes for aggressive play style from team

North Dakota volleyball coach David Nguyen is emphasizing a more aggressive approach for his roster as the team moves past an initial 2-3 start. Following a 3-1 win over Mercer, the Fighting Hawks are preparing for the upcoming Joust Tournament in Riverside, California. Nguyen, who is managing a roster composed of both returning players and his own recruits, stated that the team possesses the necessary skill to play with higher intensity. Freshman outside hitter Ellee McIntosh has emerged as a key contributor during the early season, recording her first collegiate double-double against Mercer. An de Hamer currently leads the team with 51 kills, while McIntosh follows with 48. The program continues to integrate new talent as they prepare for matchups against Cal Baptist, Idaho, and Sacred Heart.
