Vanderbilt pulls away from Delaware in 35-26 college football win

Vanderbilt defeated Delaware 35-26 on September 12 at First Bank Stadium in Nashville. Despite falling behind 14-0 early in the game, the Blue Hens rallied to secure a 17-14 lead by halftime following a blocked punt returned for a touchdown. Vanderbilt regained control in the third quarter by scoring three touchdowns, including one off a blocked punt of their own. Delaware quarterback Nick Minicucci left the game in the second quarter due to an arm injury but returned to finish the contest, completing 11 of 27 passes for 182 yards. Backup quarterback Braden Streeter also saw action, leading an 82-yard touchdown drive in the second quarter. Delaware remains in the early stages of its 2026 season and will host Coastal Carolina next week.
