Vikings release Max Brosmer and Dillon Bell after initial roster cuts

The Minnesota Vikings released quarterback Max Brosmer and wide receiver Dillon Bell on Monday, one day after including both players on the team’s initial 53-man roster. The moves followed the team's decision to sign two interior offensive linemen off waivers. Brosmer, an undrafted rookie who appeared in nine games last season, competed for a roster spot in a crowded quarterback room alongside Kyler Murray, Carson Wentz, and J.J. McCarthy. Bell, also an undrafted rookie from Georgia, had been the sixth wide receiver on the initial list. Both players now head to waivers. If they go unclaimed, the Vikings retain the option to sign them to the practice squad.
