Virginia defeats Norfolk State 59-3 as Elliott praises coach Michael Vick

Virginia moved to 2-0 on the season with a 59-3 victory over Norfolk State on Friday night at Scott Stadium. Cavaliers quarterback Beau Pribula threw three first-quarter touchdowns before being replaced for the second half, while Brandyn Hillman recorded interceptions on the first two drives of the game. Despite the historic rivalry between Virginia and Virginia Tech where Michael Vick starred, Cavaliers coach Tony Elliott used the week leading up to the matchup to praise the Norfolk State head coach. Elliott commended the way Vick transformed the quarterback position and acknowledged his impact as a person following his playing career. Following the loss, Norfolk State fell to 1-2 overall and 2-13 in Vick’s tenure. Vick noted after the game that his team was forced to battle for every yard against the Virginia defense.
