Virginia Tech football secured a commitment from three-star cornerback Turmarian Moreland on June 12, 2026. Moreland, a 6-foot-1, 198-pound defensive back from Palm Beach Lakes in Florida, chose the Hokies over offers from Auburn, Georgia, and Louisville. His commitment adds to a strong 2027 recruiting class, now ranked No. 7 nationally by 247Sports. Moreland, who played both wide receiver and defensive back in high school, is expected to play safety at Virginia Tech. He is the second safety to commit to the program for the 2027 class, joining Elijah Butler.
