West Boca Raton defeats Cardinal Newman in high school football game

West Boca Raton defeated Cardinal Newman 24-7 on Thursday, Sept. 10, in Boca Raton. The Bulls utilized a defensive performance that forced three turnovers in the first half alone to establish a 10-0 halftime lead. Quarterback Trey Moran extended the advantage with a touchdown during the opening drive of the third quarter. While Cardinal Newman running back Janarro Sumpter scored a touchdown in the second half, the West Boca Raton defense allowed only two touchdowns over the team's first three games. Coach Dylan Potts noted that the team overcame multiple penalties that negated two potential touchdowns. The Bulls remain undefeated at 3-0 this season following the victory against the 3-1 Crusaders.
