Wisconsin volleyball slips in AVCA rankings despite recent victories

Wisconsin moved to No. 6 in the Sept. 7 AVCA coaches poll despite securing wins against Florida and Auburn. The Badgers previously held the No. 5 spot before falling one place in the latest rankings update. While Wisconsin holds a 3-3 record this season, Louisville moved ahead in the poll following a series of victories over ranked opponents. Other Big Ten programs appearing in the top 25 include Nebraska, Penn State, Minnesota, Purdue, USC, Indiana, and Oregon. The team now prepares for upcoming road matches against Texas A&M on Sept. 11 and Texas on Sept. 13 to improve its current standing.
