Columbiana defeats Western Reserve in overtime football game

Columbiana moved to 3-0 on the season after securing a 38-37 overtime victory against Western Reserve on Friday night. Western Reserve, which dropped to 1-2, trailed by 11 points in the fourth quarter before rallying to force the extra period. In overtime, Western Reserve scored a touchdown to pull within one point of Columbiana. The team opted to attempt a two-point conversion to end the game but failed to convert, allowing Columbiana to hold on for the win. Columbiana previously tied the contest with less than a minute remaining in regulation. Looking ahead, Columbiana is scheduled to visit United for a week four matchup. Western Reserve will travel to face Waterloo in its next outing.
