Glen Davis claims Kendrick Perkins was involved in NBA insurance fraud scheme

Former Boston Celtics player Glen Davis has suggested that Kendrick Perkins was involved in the insurance fraud scheme that resulted in Davis serving a 40-month prison sentence. In a recent interview with Ian Bick, Davis questioned why he received prison time while other players implicated in the investigation, including Perkins, Darius Miles, and Tony Allen, avoided incarceration. Davis asserted that 180 people were either investigated or subpoenaed in relation to the case involving Terrence Williams, who was convicted as the ringleader. While Davis claims Perkins participated in the fraud, public records show that Perkins was never publicly implicated or charged in the case. Being subpoenaed does not equate to being charged or convicted of a crime. Davis remains critical of the sentencing disparity among the individuals connected to the federal investigation, alleging that the NBA and federal authorities targeted specific players to set an example.
