IndyCar team owner Dennis Reinbold dies at age 65

Dennis Reinbold, whose Dreyer & Reinbold Racing team fielded cars in the Indianapolis 500 and IndyCar for more than 25 years. has died. He was 65.

Dennis Reinbold, whose Dreyer & Reinbold Racing team fielded cars in the Indianapolis 500 and IndyCar for more than 25 years. Reinbold died Saturday, surrounded by his family, his racing team and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway said in statements Sunday. The Indianapolis-based DRR team’s best finish in the Indy 500 was a fourth in 2012.

Dennis Reinbold's love for the Indy 500 including fielding two, top-notch efforts even though he didn't have a full-time team in IndyCar. Reinbold passed away on June 14.

IndyCar Series team owner Dennis Reinbold has died at the age of 65. The Indiana-based car dealer and team owner fought a prolonged battle against cancer that improved before taking a sudden turn in recent days.
