Justin Verlander continues rehabilitation program with Detroit Tigers

Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander continues his rehabilitation from injury as he prepares for a potential return to the mound before his planned retirement at the end of the season. Verlander maintains he will only pitch again if he is healthy enough to contribute effectively rather than just making a brief appearance. The team has scheduled a two-day career celebration for Verlander during the final home series against the Pittsburgh Pirates on September 25-26.
