Khosla group invites Mittal-Grousbeck bidders to purchase Seahawks ownership stake

Vinod Khosla emerged as the successful bidder to assume control of the Seattle Seahawks following a competitive ownership process. The sale process concluded with an approved price of $9.612 billion, with Khosla designated to control 30 percent of the organization. As part of the finalized ownership structure, members of the unsuccessful bidding group led by Aditya Mittal and Wyc Grousbeck have been invited to acquire minority stakes in the team. The agreement allows for as many as 24 limited partners to hold the remaining 70 percent of the franchise. NFL owners have granted unanimous approval to the deal, formalizing the ownership transfer and the distribution of equity among the approved partners. It remains unconfirmed whether the Mittal-Grousbeck group has accepted the invitation to join the team's ownership structure as minority investors.
