Mississippi State baseball adds Josiah Overbeek from Army via transfer portal

On June 16, Mississippi State baseball secured Army freshman Josiah Overbeek through the transfer portal. Overbeek, a standout two-way player, was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Year after a season in which he batted.314 with 17 home runs and 44 RBIs. Additionally, he contributed as a reliever, achieving a 5-0 record with a 5.57 ERA. Overbeek joins a notable incoming class for Mississippi State, which includes two other players recognized as NCBWA Freshman All-Americans. The transfer portal is open until June 30.
