Pearl River defeats Nanuet in Little Brown Jug football game

Pearl River defeated Nanuet 42-0 in the annual Little Brown Jug game on Sept. 4. Tommy Mahoney led the offense for host Pearl River, recording 176 rushing yards and three touchdowns during the victory. Nanuet struggled throughout the contest, hampered by a costly punt snap that set up the Pearl River offense deep in Nanuet territory. Additional miscues for Nanuet included a touchdown nullified by a penalty and a lost fumble following a drive into opposing territory. The result marks the fourth consecutive Little Brown Jug victory for Pearl River. Pearl River will host Briarcliff on Sept. 10 at 4 p.m., while Nanuet travels to face Panas next week.
