Central York defeats North Penn in high-scoring football game

Central York defeated North Penn 42-33 in a Week 2 football matchup held in Lansdale. Sophomore quarterback Jamir Ilgenfritz led the Panthers by throwing for 296 yards and six touchdowns. Junior DeMarcus Murray proved a primary target for Ilgenfritz, hauling in five of those touchdown passes. The win marks a significant result for the Panthers against a perennial state-ranked opponent early in the season. North Penn now prepares for a road trip to face Upper Dublin on September 10 at 7 p.m. Central York returns home to host Manheim Township on September 11 at 7 p.m.
