Philadelphia Eagles name five inactive players for Week 1 against Washington

The Philadelphia Eagles released their final inactive list ahead of today's season opener against the Washington Commanders at Lincoln Financial Field. Quarterback Tanner McKee, quarterback Cole Payton, wide receiver Elijah Moore, edge rusher Jonathan Greenard, and offensive lineman Micah Morris will not participate in the divisional contest. McKee will serve as the team’s emergency third quarterback, leaving Andy Dalton to operate as the primary backup to Jalen Hurts. Greenard was ruled out following a pectoral injury sustained during practice, while Moore was named a healthy scratch despite a strong training camp. Conversely, rookie tight end Eli Stowers is available for selection after overcoming a hamstring issue that left him questionable leading into the weekend.
