The Pleasant football team defeated River Valley 48-13 on Friday, Sept. 11, in a Mid Ohio Athletic Conference matchup at the Tundra in Marion County. Ryan Conway opened the scoring for the Spartans with a 43-yard touchdown run and finished the game with three total touchdowns. Weston Shaffer added three rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter and threw for 154 yards, including a scoring pass to Keean Perriguey before halftime. River Valley trailed 21-13 late in the second quarter after an Owen Collins touchdown pass to Carter Myers but failed to score again.
