Rylan Hainje named Marion County Male Athlete of Year

Rylan Hainje, a senior at Franklin Central, has been recognized as the Marion County Male Athlete of the Year. Hainje has made significant strides in track and field, recording a time of 13.05 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles at the regional meet, though this time could not be officially recognized due to lack of wind reading. He holds the state lead in hurdles and contributed to breaking a 46-year-old state record in the 4x400-meter relay. Hainje, who competes at the state meet on Saturday, was honored by the Marion County Athletic Association, highlighting his rapid ascent in the sport. His father expresses pride in his son's achievements as Hainje prepares to continue running at Marian University next year.
