Shaker soccer player Rikhil Katpally provides tactical training to Indian academies

Rikhil Katpally, a 17-year-old midfielder at Shaker High School in Colonie, New York, has established an international training platform called FootyTactic. The project began as a YouTube channel featuring technical breakdowns of professional soccer players, which eventually gained a following among coaches in India. After identifying a demand for his analysis, Katpally began working directly with youth development programs, offering training materials and drill designs. His platform now supports seven academies across India, assisting over 650 players between the ages of 8 and 23. Coaches, including Mohammad Faiz Khan of the Sreenidi Deccan Little Stars Academy, rely on his digital portal for daily instructional resources and practice planning. Katpally continues to manage these partnerships while playing for his high school team and Saints FC.
