FootballSouthern Columbia pulled away late to secure a 30-12 victory over Williams Valley in Williamstown. Williams Valley took an early 6-0 lead in the first quarter following a 62-yard touchdown run by Fletcher Thompson. Southern Columbia responded before halftime with an 8-yard touchdown reception by Jace Malokoski and a successful two-point conversion. Fatigue affected the Williams Valley roster in the second half as Southern Columbia player Grady Garcia added two touchdowns, including a 60-yard scoring run and a 23-yard touchdown reception. Although Thompson recorded his second touchdown of the game for the Vikings, Garcia iced the win with a 48-yard rushing touchdown in the final quarter. Williams Valley, which utilized a front-seven defensive scheme led by Trevon Bair, now prepares for an upcoming game against North Schuylkill.
