Texas Tech implements new fan entry policies for Galaxy Stadium games

Texas Tech Athletics has updated stadium access and security procedures for the 2026 football season at Galaxy Stadium. All ticket holders will pass through Evolv Weapons Detection System AI scanners to enter the venue. Mobile ticketing has transitioned to a tap-and-go system that requires fans to tap their devices near scanners, with static screenshots no longer accepted for entry. Road closures on Wes Kittley Drive of Champions are now in effect three hours before kickoff and last until one hour post-game. Citibus is providing shuttle services for $6 via the Go Pass app, with new dedicated rideshare drop-off points established at 902 Akron Ave. and 703 Flint Ave. Students are required to utilize a new loyalty-based system to reserve seats for home events.
