Community Christian runner Joseph Hirt details military career aspirations

Community Christian senior cross country runner Joseph Hirt recently shared his personal background and future career plans as part of an Oklahoma City-area high school sports media spotlight. The 180-pound athlete stated that he has already been sworn into Air Force Special Warfare. Hirt cited his commitment to military service as his primary motivation for competing in cross country. Outside of his athletic training, which includes riding his bike for distances up to 200 miles, he plans to pursue a career in the military. Hirt also noted a personal preference for alligators as a potential school mascot during the interview session.
