Homewood-Flossmoor reports racial harassment incidents during competitions with Lincoln-Way East

Homewood-Flossmoor High School reported a second instance of alleged racial harassment involving Lincoln-Way East student-athletes during a cross-country invitational at Lyons Township on Saturday. This follow-up allegation occurred just days after Homewood-Flossmoor administrators cited egregious behavior by Lincoln-Way East students during a varsity football game held the previous Friday. In the cross-country incident, Homewood-Flossmoor athletes claimed opponents and coaches made racist noises during the meet. Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210 denied the allegations, stating their staff only discussed a portion of the course known locally as the jungle. School officials added that meet organizers at Lyons Township reported no official complaints regarding the cross-country event.
