Faith & Hoops summer camp draws record turnout of 75 campers

The Faith & Hoops summer basketball camp hosted a record 75 young athletes at the Community School of Naples this year. Founded in 2021 by Stephanie Paul and the Rev. Jean Renaud Paul, the program aims to develop the whole athlete by combining basketball instruction with mentorship and faith-based lessons. Participants from Collier and Lee counties receive free meals and transportation as part of an effort to keep the camp accessible to families in the area. Organizers emphasize that the camp focuses on encouraging youth to separate their self-worth from performance on the court while building community among peers. To support further expansion and accommodate more students, the program is currently seeking donations for operations, meals, and a dedicated transportation van.
