Holdingford secures 9-8 victory over Royalton at home

Holdingford moved to a 2-0 record after a 9-8 home victory against Royalton on September 11. The Husker defense sealed the win by stopping a two-point conversion attempt in the final minutes of the game. Austin Terpstra provided the go-ahead score with a 62-yard touchdown run, and Tatum Manske added a 19-yard field goal to extend the lead to 9-2 by the final quarter. Despite two fourth-quarter turnovers and an early safety, the Holdingford defense prevented Royalton from scoring a touchdown during regulation play. Head coach Brody Anderson earned his first home win of the season behind the performance of a unit coordinated by Hunter Ahrens. Holdingford hosts Eden Valley-Watkins on September 18, while Royalton plays at Apollo on the same date.
