Lake Travis and Cibolo Steele finished in a 28-28 tie Friday after severe weather halted their game at Lehnhoff Stadium. Officials suspended play with 4 minutes and 43 seconds remaining in the third quarter after lightning appeared in the area. A 30-minute delay failed to resolve the situation as conditions worsened and portions of the stadium lost power, leading officials to rule the game a tie. The Cavaliers entered the second half trailing 28-21 before a touchdown by Teddy Lofgren leveled the score. Lake Travis, which holds a 1-0-1 record, previously defeated the Weiss Wolves 38-21 in their season opener. The team is scheduled to host Cornerstone Christian next week.
