Unity and Armstrong-Potomac volleyball teams secure Thursday victories

SwimmingArea prep volleyball teams competed in a slate of matches on Thursday, September 4, with several programs notching key results. Unity moved to 3-2 after a 2-1 victory over Tuscola, fueled by Olivia Williams who finished with 21 kills and 17 digs. In other action, Armstrong-Potomac improved to 3-1 with a 2-1 decision against LeRoy, behind a double-double performance from Ashlyn Ackerman. Elsewhere, Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin swept Villa Grove in two sets, while Fisher improved to 6-1 following a 2-0 win over Hoopeston Area.
