Villanova forward Brynn McCurry will miss the 2026-27 season

Villanova Wildcats forward Brynn McCurry announced that she will miss the 2026-27 basketball season due to a torn ACL. This injury marks the third time the forward has suffered an ACL tear in her career. McCurry underwent successful surgery last week, representing her fourth major medical procedure in four years. She previously returned to the court following an ACL tear in 2024 and underwent Tommy John surgery this past April. Last season, McCurry recorded career-best averages of 10.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. She retains one year of collegiate eligibility as she begins the recovery process.
