Woking signs forward John Marquis on a one-year contract

Woking has signed forward John Marquis to a one-year deal. The 34-year-old joins the National League club following the expiration of his contract at Shrewsbury. During his time at Shrewsbury, Marquis recorded 18 goals across 86 appearances in League One and League Two. Throughout his career, he has accumulated over 500 English Football League appearances and tallied 171 goals for various clubs, including Millwall, Portsmouth, Doncaster, and Bristol Rovers. Marquis is the 13th new player added to the Woking squad during the summer transfer window.
