Montverde Academy volleyball improves to 4-1 following two recent victories

Montverde Academy carries a three-match winning streak into mid-September after posting two victories in early September. The Eagles moved to a 4-1 record following a 3-2 comeback victory over Winter Park on September 1 and a 3-0 sweep of Mount Dora on September 8. Against Winter Park, the team rallied from a deficit in the first and third sets to take the match, aided by 12 kills from Suhmer Henriques and 27 assists from Kristina Vargas. The subsequent match against Mount Dora featured a balanced offensive performance with Janiyah Miller, Mya Tyson, and Antonella Gonzalez-D'Ambrosio each contributing five kills. The Eagles prepare for a home match against New Smyrna Beach on September 15. The team also plays DeLand on September 16 before competing in the Florida Gem High School Classic at Wesley Chapel later that week.
