Raiders sign Cody White to the practice squad

The Las Vegas Raiders signed wide receiver Cody White to their 17-man practice squad on Monday. White joins the organization after being released by the Seattle Seahawks during final roster cuts. The 6-foot-3, 227-pound receiver previously played under Raiders staffer Klint Kubiak and contributed to the Seahawks' Super Bowl victory last February. His signing follows the placement of Dont'e Thornton Jr. on injured reserve. White provides additional size to the Raiders' receiving corps, as the team lacked taller options at the position following the conclusion of training camp. The team may elevate him to the active roster in the near future as he adapts to the offensive scheme.
